This Course is a 2-hour, non-competency based training that follows the current Code Of Practice developed by Safe Work Australia.

The focus is on practical knowledge about musculoskeletal injuries and best workplace practices for Safe Manual Handling. There is no formal accreditation process for this training.

Understanding that manual handling accounts for a range of injuries in the workplace and safe practice makes this an ideal training for existing workers. This program uses an innovative approach to risk assessment with practical application of skills and knowledge throughout the training.

This training is suitable for all industries, with use of the current Hazardous Manual Tasks Code of Practice.

Back-to-Basics Safe Manual Handling

Course Information

This Course is a 2-hour, non-competency based training including Safe Manual Handling theory, practicals and workplace risk assessments.

The focus is on practical knowledge about the spine, musculoskeletal injuries and best workplace practices for Safe Manual Handling. There is no formal accreditation process for this training.

Understanding that manual handling is used to describe a range of activities; lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, moving, holding or restraining an object, animal or person; makes this training a pre-requisite for all staff induction and refresher training in the workplace.

This training is suitable for all industries, with use of the current hazardous manual tasks Code of Practice.
